As a result, a full plain film stress study was ordered, the result of which can be seen on plates 9-13/13.

This represents the importance of obtaining complimentary studies in selective cases. 

The bilateral pars defect was taken into consideration in continued treatment of the L5-S1 discopathy. It obviously required significant alteration in closed decompression criteria (load factors). This reiterates the importance of applying specific treatment protocols for each particular patient.

This patient was treated for a total of 7 sessions, and re-examined two weeks later with acceptable results.

Even so, the radicular complaint as part of the initial chief complaint has been resolved, yet the presence of significant instability of the cephalic segment may require further intervention in the future.
